John Stibal, Senior Vice President of Sales & Client Management shares personal lessons learned as well as colleagues' experiences with mentor relationships:
Senior Vice President, Sales & Client Management
John has held several leadership roles for over 30 years with Unum and has experience working in several Midwest markets, including Kansas City, St. Louis, Minneapolis and Chicago. Prior to his current role, John held two positions as Regional Vice President of Sales and Client Management for the Midwest region and most recently, the Northeast region. Prior to these regional leadership roles, John was Vice President of Channel Development, where he was responsible for sales recruiting and training, sales and broker compensation planning, and oversight of strategic distribution partnerships.
John received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Emporia State University with a double major in business administration and marketing. He began his career with Unum upon graduation, as a group sales representative in the Kansas City office.
John currently serves on the Emporia State University Foundation board and is also a Board Member of The Make-A-Wish Foundation, Maine Chapter. He resides in Falmouth, Maine and based out of Unum’s Portland, Maine Home Office.
